Whisky of the Week #26.3
Auchentoshan 18yo Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Launched in 2008, as a core range product this 18 year old bottling of triple distilled, Lowland single malt whisky showcases a superb richness for a core-range bottling aged in American oak casks.
How does it taste?
Nose: Chocolate and vanilla, wood and barley
Palate: More vanilla, mixed nuts and a hint of fresh citrus.
Finish: Crumble and custard (no fruit, just the crumble) and some floral notes
Why did I choose this whisky?
My scottish ancestry comes fromhe lowlands, an often neglected part of Scottish whisky heritage, The lowlands do not lack for geography, stunning scenery and beautiful whiskies. Often more apperitife in style and light in character, welcome to the land of my fathers.

That drink is not on at the moment, so it cannot be rated.
