Hook Norton, Oxfordshire

https://www.hooky.co.uk/

Hook Norton Brewery has brewed in the village of Hook Norton in Oxfordshire since 1849, when John Harris founded it. The present six-storey tower building dates from around 1900, and inside it stands a 25 horsepower steam engine installed in 1899: the brewery says it is the last engine of its age in the country still used for its original purpose, and runs it on the first Sunday of every month. Hook Norton describes itself as one of only thirty-two family-owned breweries left in Britain, and as the finest surviving example of a Victorian tower brewery.
