Isle of Skye 12 Year Old 40% 25ml

Ian Macleod's Isle of Skye blend goes back to 1933, and the twelve year old is the one to sit with: peated island malts carrying Speyside and Highland malts and grain, married in oak.

Smoke is there but it is not the point of it. The producer's own note runs: creamy vanilla, orange zest, ground coriander, honeycomb and a distant heather fire on the nose; dried apricot, gooseberry and gentle spice to taste; and a finish of lingering peat with lime, dark chocolate and fresh mint.
