Benriach: The Smoky Twelve 46% 25ml

Benriach's smoky twelve year old from Speyside, made by master blender Dr Rachel Barrie from three casks: bourbon barrels, sherry casks and Marsala wine casks, each matured for at least twelve years and then married together.

The distillery's own note: smoked vanilla, charred orange and toasted almond on the nose, then dark chocolate, fruit peel, brown sugar and smoked oak, lingering into a cocoa and orange smoked finish.

Poured at the festival as part of our whisky flight.
